LONDON MOTORCYCLE FILM FESTIVAL TO DEBUT IN UK CAPITAL
London, UK – 02 August 2025 – The roar of engines meets the power of film this autumn as the London Motorcycle Film Festival (LMFF) makes its highly anticipated debut on 12 and 13 September 2025, hosted at the characterful Old Timber Store, nestled in the railway arches of Maltby Street Market in London.
Following the success of the Dubai Motorcycle Film Festival, established in 2021, LMFF is organised by the same team and brings that same passion for storytelling, motorcycling culture and cinematic excellence to the UK capital.
“Over the past four years, we’ve been overwhelmed by the response to the Dubai Motorcycle Film Festival from the motorcycle community and also filmmakers.” Said Ian Carless, Founder & Festival Director of DMFF and LMFF "London (and the UK) has such a rich motorcycle history and culture that we knew from the outset that we wanted to bring the festival here also.”
The two-day festival will showcase some of the best motorcycle themed short films from around the world - from raw, real-life adventures and powerful short documentaries to dramatic narrative films, animations and standout branded content. Among the highlights already confirmed are:
REAPPEAR – Directed by Tommy Clarke (UK). Synopsis: Frank decides to restore his late father’s vintage motorcycle, so that he can recreate his mother’s most treasured photograph. He is completely unaware that the project will kickstart his own journey.
SONG OF SOSA– Directed by Cam Elkins (Australia). Synopsis: Cristian Sosa finds the song of the custom Royal Enfield 650 Twin GT that he's building through the rhythm of his own hammer.
FAST EDDIE – Directed by Brenna Eckerson (USA). Synopsis: WW II veteran Ed Fisher began his racing career as a factory rider for Indian Motorcycles, before representing Triumph as one of their first East Coast riders in 1952. He continued to ride right up until his passing in 2022. He was 97.
REBEL RIDERS – Directed by Marc Ressang (Indonesia). Synopsis: A fascinating exploration of the spirit of invention and self-expression taking place in Indonesia’s extreme Vespa culture.
To help bring LMFF to life in its London home, the organisers have enlisted a few trusted partners who live and breathe two-wheeled culture in the UK.
Classic Rides UK is the brainchild of photographer and digital artist, Matt McFadden, a UK-based motorcycle focused e-commerce brand, Instagram and YouTube channel. It was born out of mixing his love of photography and motorcycles and he now brings that creative vision to LMFF.
"Motorcycle culture is rich with stories that deserve to be seen and heard," said Matt. "Our goal is to create a space where filmmakers, riders, motorcycle riders and brands can come together to celebrate the unique spirit of life on two wheels - right here in the heart of London."
Since 2022, Alex Richards has hosted the London Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride, guiding a dapper swarm of riders through the capital in support of men’s health. He also runs one of the world’s largest Facebook communities dedicated to Adventure Motorcycling, where stories from the road are shared daily across continents.
“LMFF isn’t just for the hardcore riders - it’s for anyone who loves a great story.” Said Alex. “Whether it’s a gritty doc shot in the Andes or a short film made in Hackney, it’s the emotion and craft of the films that shine through.”
Rounding out the team is Stefania Schito. A lawyer by profession, Stefania is one of the top fundraisers in the world for the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride (DGG) - and yes, that’s a humblebrag! Her Dad is super proud! Stefania also hosts the London edition of the event.
“LMFF is a cultural crossover between cinema, community, design and the thrill of the ride.” Said Stefania. “I’m delighted to have been asked to be a partner of LMFF and can’t wait to kick things off in London this September.”
The 2025 London Motorcycle Film Festival is set to take place at The Old Timber Store on Friday 12 and Saturday 13 September, offering an exciting lineup of motorcycle-themed films.
